While featuring the hit single "Tear Drop City," The Monkees Instant Replay also reunites the band with Boyce & Hart, as well as previous team Monkees writers like Carole King & Neil Sedaka, and producers like Bones Howe, which resulted in some of the finest recordings ever with this superstar act. The chart LP also offered the first look at Mike Nesmith's groundbreaking sessions in Nashville, plus solid works from all the Monkees like Davy Jones' "You & I" with Neil Young and Micky Dolenz's masterwork "Shorty Blackwell."
