• Big Brother and The Holding Co. Ladies' Crop Tee
Part of the same Sixties psychedelic music scene as the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Moby Grape, Big Brother and the Holding Company are possibly best known for their time with Janis Joplin as lead singer. The group first formed in 1965, but it was the addition of Joplin in 1966 that began Big Brother's transformation into purveyors of psychedelic sound.
Their 1968 album Cheap Thrills is the first to feature the band's acid rock sound, after their much more folk-influenced self-titled debut. After the release of Cheap Thrills, Joplin departed to work on her solo career, and the remaining members drifted apart over the course of the early 1970s. Several members of the band reformed the Holding Company in 1987 as a touring group and continue to play to this day.
Inspired by the casual and cool vibe of Southern California, this crop has a modest cut and a length that hits just below the belly button with a finished hem and neck binding. This silhouette is perfect to elevate your everyday casual wear.
